Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG)

The best way for parents, family members, friends, or gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) people to get support, receive educational materials, and learn about PFLAG’s advocacy efforts is to visit a PFLAG local chapter.

NOW works for the full and equal participation of women in society. Our priority issues include reproductive justice, LGBTQ equality, ending racism, and stopping violence against women.

Our local chapter provides a confidential, private safe-haven for parents, friends, and families of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered people; as well as GLBT individuals.

My Brothers Keeper, Inc. (MBK)is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization designed to enhance the health and well being of minorities through leadership in public and community health practices, collaborations and partnerships.

BUILDING BRIDGES, INC. (BBI) is a community-based 501 (c) 3 organization of caring professionals who are dedicated to preventing HIV infection and to improve the lives of those affected and infected by HIV and AIDS.

Camp Sister Spirit Folk School is a project of Sister Spirit Incorporated, a nonprofit, federally recognized tax exempt charitable organization whose mission is to eradicate hatred and differences through education and interaction with our neighbors.

The purpose of the Mississippi Rainbow Alliance is to provide a forum for support, education, information, and friendship for those of us who consider ourselves to be “The Community.”

Mississippi HeARTS Against AIDS is a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization. The annual benefit at Hal & Mal’s is the largest fundraiser in Mississippi for HIV/AIDS related issues.
