Excellent comments, Charles. Absolutely agree. This is a Civil Rights issue and should be identified as such.

Charles, our next push is to target national leaders from Mississippi. That push will include Ray Mabus. We have a plan to contact all of our leaders from the top down that represent us - LGBT tax payers - on any level. Help us spread the word!

As for an agenda, we are in full accord with Dallas Principles established in May of 2009.

The following eight guiding principles underlie our call to action.
In order to achieve full civil rights now, we avow:
1. Full civil rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals must be enacted now. Delay and excuses are no longer acceptable.
2. We will not leave any part of our community behind.
3. Separate is never equal.
4. Religious beliefs are not a basis upon which to affirm or deny civil rights.
5. The establishment and guardianship of full civil rights is a non-partisan issue.
6. Individual involvement and grassroots action are paramount to success and must be encouraged.
7. Success is measured by the civil rights we all achieve, not by words, access or money raised.
8. Those who seek our support are expected to commit to these principles.

I love it! I just emailed Joe Solmonese day before yesterday about starting an area code (202) campaign! I am excited to see this information getting to our prople in a simple form. No need to make if dificult to ahdnle and participate. I will make my phone calls as I allready do. We need to get to Ray Mabus, Secretary of the Navy, there must be a high ranking Democrat in Mississippi that has his ear on issues that could help with Don't Ask Don't Tell. I love the fact you mentioned all the fronts that we are fighting on also! They haev tried to divide us 50 different ways by letting states have the marriage vote and it has worked. We must unit and fight our own battles. I will try to get a contact for us inside the Biden Camp also. I still think we should define our Gay Agenda and use the historic Civil Rights Movement as our Past-Present-Future. We as Mississippians are all too familiar with it not to embrass it. Every time we has Homosexuals go out to protest it has another name equality, gay marriage, DADT, Prop 8, Defense of Marriage and Pride. We need to just call it what it is Civil Rights Rallies and Protest. Get the Mississippi Media to use those words and possibly the national media. Compare it to the grassroots efforts of black and white Civil rights Leaders that made Mississippi First in the Fight! Let's make them First in the Fight again. This time it is our Civil Rights. I would love to meet with you all and really discuss my ideas further and maybe temper them to the cause but none the less let's see where we can take this fight. Now is our time. If we can win in Mississippi we can win in Washington D.C. With our friends in Tupelo anything we do we wil get free press!
