OUToberfest Kick-off Party This Weekend!

The official, OUToberfest kick-off party will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 at Jack & Jill's (www.jacksbars.com). Get $1 off setups and beers from 9pm-11pm. $6 cover - Jack & Jill's will also donate $1 from the cover to Unity Misissippi.

Mixing progressive, tribal and circuit house will be Unity's own Knol. Inspired by producers like Chris Cox, Danny Tenaglia, and Peter Rauhofer, Knol will be constructing original, live remixes of chart-topping dance tracks. Expect builds, soulful divas, chanting queens and lots of bass and percussion!

Who Are God-Des & She?

At a time when originality and creativity are harder and harder to find, God-Des and She stand apart from the monotonous "bling-bling, booty-booty" that's going on. Even though God-Des is openly gay, her wit, humor, skill and charisma appeal to more than just a gay fan base. Both God-Des and She have an amazing ability to connect with a diverse group of people through their lyrics, stories, and catchy tunes.

Logo (MTV's new gay channel) recently began airing Hip Hop Homos, a documentary featuring God-Des & She and have been playing their new video "Love You Better" around the clock. They recently performed on the season finale of "the L Word" and completed a song for a compilation with Dead Prez and Mos Def. "Can't Stand" was nominated for the 2005 Out Music Awards.

Everything's Fair in Jackson

The Mississippi State Fair begins today!  The Fair runs through Oc­tober 15 on the State Fairgrounds. The festivities include concerts, rides, food, exhibits and so much more.
