We know there is a huge problem in front of us. Now the question is, what are we going to do? I don't mean that question only for MS, but on a national scale as well. What can we do to make a change?

Every group that has been the victim of hate has enjoyed the benefit of a leader. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a great leader. Women had the benefit of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, and later, Gloria Steinem. Who is going to step out for the gay community and be that person?

Our failure to organize is holding us back. Groups full of hate seem to be able to organize, so now it's time we did something.

We need someone to lead us so we can start to move toward the rights bestowed on the rest of society.

The AFA is more over a Religious Organization. We already had the

separation of Church and State, it times to make it complete. I say

that we protest right on there front door (peaceful, yet get our point

across). We are human just like straight people we deserve the right to

be happy and enjoy marriage just like any other couple. But thanks AFA

for making us second-class citizens even though many of the LGBT

people could say that they are doing better then you

When Gwen and I lived in California, we were dismayed to find an organization like the AFA was what most people in other parts of the country knew about Tupelo (besides Elvis).

It's time for the AFA to go.

It's time for people in Tupelo and throughout Mississippi to realize that the AFA is a big part of what's wrong with our state. When minds are not free, we cannot envision a better future, much less summon the energy and courage to start the work of change.

The AFA does not want people to ask hard questions.

The AFA does not want all people to enjoy equal rights.

The AFA does not want people to enjoy freedom.

What's American about the American Family Association?

P.S.: To those of you who supported me for Congress in the 1st District, I deeply appreciate your vote. Good luck with your demonstration tomorrow in Jackson.

Peace,

John
